Abortion Ads on T.V.

And so at last it comes to this! Under a possible new relaxing of the advertising rules in the U.K both condoms and abortion clinics may be shown on commercials. Why? In an effort to bring down the rate of teenage pregnancy. I wrote an article about a month ago on the U.K governments thoughts regarding the increase in teen pregnancy. Are they so blind that they can not see they are not fighting the root cause? How on earth will advertising condoms or abortion tackle the real issue? They are just an effort to paper over the large cracks that now increasingly loom over the culture of teenage sex.

We encourage it, we allow it and then teach them not to worry about the consequences of it. Does that contain even a smidgen of common sense?

Is America too far behind? These days it's hard to argue that it is: There are many more calls for being proud to have an abortion - President Obama supports partial birth abortion. It's difficult to see how one can imagine that partial birth abortion should be solely the woman's right. The President doen't even support helping a baby live even if the child survives the intial abortion procedure!!!

So move on commercials on prime time t.v. that target teenagers, have as much sex as you want; don't think about commitment, don't think about consequences - and we wonder why we produce a culture with no concept of financial responsibility and no sense of how their actions affect others. Really! We don't have too far to look to figure that one out! Do we?

I remember in High School learning about the horrors of The Nazi regime in Germany. One of those horrors was the amounts of targeted abortions. Children who they suspected would be born with a disease or mental illness were aborted - which is worse...to abort these or simply abort because we don't want them?

Have we become the monster we once faught against? What happened to the morality we once championed?
